The DFG long-term project “Word families in diachrony (WoDia) – A research environment for the historical word formation of German” offers three doctoral positions that are suitable for applicants with very good knowledge of the history of the German language. The project will be carried out at the universities of Frankfurt/Main, Hamburg, Kiel and Trier and the Academy of Sciences and Literature in Mainz. The aim is to develop a common word family structure across varieties and epochs (Old High German, Old Saxon, Middle High German and Middle Low German), to be made accessible online in a database-centred research environment.
