On September 24th and 25th, 2026, the first three EMLex students who had Universität Hildesheim as their home university, Elena Andreeva, Larisa Ferreira and Miguel A. Lopez Alfonso, had the 'disputatio' of their Master's theses. All three of them passed with good and excellent results.

The EMLex community warmly congratulates Prof. Ernesto González Seoane, lecturer in the EMLex programme at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), on his admission as a full member of the Royal Galician Academy  (RAG).

USC-EMLex is very proud that Emmanuel S. Fomat, an EMLex graduate from the Sulkhan Saba Orbeliani cohort (intake 2024), has been awarded a PhD scholarship as part of the new international project MultiLAwa – Multilingual Language Awareness in the European Digital Society.  Emmanuel succeeded in a highly competitive selection process and was chosen as a PhD candidate. Congratulations!

The European Master in Lexicography (EMLex) was represented at EURALEX 2026, one of the major international conferences in lexicography, held at the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Vienna.

On Wednesday, 23 September, the EMLex Steering Board welcomed the students of the 2026 intake, known as the Luca Serianni Cohort, during a consortium-wide online welcome session.
In attendance were the students of the new cohort, the Programme Coordinator, Prof. María José Domínguez, Dr. Christine Ganslmayer, both members of the EMLex Steering Board, Prof. Martina Nied, coordinator of the B1 module, and Luke Akinremi, Programme Manager.
